why Taj?
I mean whats all the fuss about? Wonder of The world?
Why the Taj? I kept asking myself...
I stood in the curious queue..got myself a ticket and the guide
who ran me thru amazing facts about the so called "symbol of love"!
O yea, I believe that when Mumtaz was Shahjahan's 4th of his 7 wives :)
It no doubt looked pretty in white and symmetry.
But again ...to stand out of the world and be the most recognized structure worldwide?
Being a "Madrasi" to the North, my mind couldn't help but compare to the engima of the enticing Hampi
& to the mystery of cap stone in Thanjavur temple or to the poetry in stones at Belur .
The monkey mind sure was capable of finding its'endless list but I had to pause it.

....there must be something that is missing. something isn't hitting me .
Perhaps it must be wtinessed by oneself and not conditioned by hype and stuff that we have read a thousand times before.
Next morning ,in the biting cold I had to set out. 25 kms around for the Mehta Baghand view onto the other side of godess Yamuna.
There was none but for ....a jawan on night duty, those morning birds, silence and me, and ofcourse the subject in doubt.

As the beauty began to uncover herself from the darkness, the lines where I stood were slowly converging into a different plane.
I watched her mysterious moods change, while my lens witnessed the flight of her colors with the coming of light.
I walked closer and.. closer ..without my command ..I sat there still on the river bank.
As my smoke spread its munifecence, the echo of temple bells and sufi music came willowing across from a distance .
Upon my waking eyes there she stood, revealing herself in timeless grace .....

Another blessed morning after doesn't seem to quench too, I can't wait to come back...Wonderful isn't as much as you !

And when you get to witness it around the Taj,
you realize why Wonders Exist..... — in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
